Course Into

Sustainable construction is the process of creating greener and more environmentally friendly construction. Further, it aims to limit the negative effects on the environment caused by the industry.

Evidently, it is an important element of construction in this day and age, where our climate is a huge concern. Unfortunately, the construction industry uses large amounts of energy and produces damaging emissions. Therefore, understanding why we need to implement sustainable construction and how we can do so is very important.

Obviously, there are challenges with sustainable construction. Not only does developing greener ways to carry out construction take up time, but it is also costly.

Whilst new builds are incorporating the use of more eco-friendly materials for building, others are introducing greener energy retrofit strategies such as incorporating renewable energy sources. This is a fantastic development.
